Final Call: Submit your Technical Initiatives (TI) Funding Request by June 7th, 2024

We are excited to announce that another round of Technical Initiative (TI) funding is coming to a close with the mid-June window mentioned in the blog: How OpenSSF Technical Initiatives Can Receive Strategic Funding.

Key dates to remember:

  • Proposal Submission Deadline: June 7th, EOD PT
  • TAC Review and Discussion: Week of June 11th
  • Async Voting Period: June 11th – June 14th
  • Notification of Decisions: June 17th

To submit your funding request, follow these steps:

  1. Prepare Your Proposal:
    • Ensure your Technical Initiative (TI) is in good standing and has officially applied for and been accepted at one of our lifecycle stages.
    • Craft a detailed proposal highlighting the technical merits and alignment with OpenSSF’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Strategy.
  2. Submit Your Proposal:
    • Use the form provided at this link.
    • The proposal submission period will end on Friday, June 7th, EOD PT.
  3. Review Process:
    • The OpenSSF TAC will review all submitted proposals during the week of June 11th.
    • Proposals will be discussed during the June 11th TAC call.
    • Asynchronous voting will follow until Friday, June 14th.
