We are excited to announce that the members of the Open Source Security Foundation (OpenSSF), a cross-industry initiative uniting the industry’s key open source security initiatives along with the individuals and companies backing them, will be hosting a Meetup on Monday, May 13th at Cybertrust Japan. This event will feature OpenSSF General Manager Omkhar Arasaratnam for the first time.
Omkhar will be sharing the latest information, engaging in Q&A sessions, and networking with the Japanese community. This is an incredibly valuable opportunity—please join us.
In the second half of the meetup, we’ll be delivering an event report on the Secure Open Source Software (SOSS) Community Days (4/15), a co-located event with the world’s largest OSS conference, Open Source Summit North America (4/16-18 Seattle), which is happening this month. Members participating from Japan will bring back event highlights and share this information in Japanese with everyone.
We’re striving to establish a space where individuals with similar awareness and challenges regarding OSS security can come together, share information primarily in Japanese, and progress collaboratively. We extend a warm welcome to anyone interested in OSS security, not just OpenSSF members.
