The Open Source Security Foundation (OpenSSF) is proud to be a Silver Sponsor at AGNTCon + MCPCon North America in San Jose, CA, on October 22 – 23, 2026. Securing agentic AI is the defining challenge of the year. This event is the perfect venue to establish the vital standards for open source security in the age of artificial intelligence.
As the ecosystem builds production ready systems, the industry requires standard protocols. We are positioning the Secure Agentic Framework (SAF) as a vital industry standard for interoperable and secure agentic AI.
Ensuring these systems are secure by design is critical as frameworks integrate into software supply chains. We invite open source contributors and developers to join our experts for deep dive workshops and interactive sessions.

Let’s Play the Agentic AI Supply Chain Game!
Oct 22 • 6:40 PM-7:05 PM, LL20 CD
Sarah Evans and Christopher Robinson (aka CRob) will explore the software supply chain through the lens of a classic board game. While the agentic AI space moves quickly, the security lessons we have learned in software engineering over the last few decades remain vital. This session shows how to apply established supply chain security techniques to the agentic AI world. By using familiar concepts and standards, developers and users will learn to build stronger, more reliable systems. Enjoy this engaging way to learn how to defend the next generation of AI.
Workshop: Secure Agentic Framework (SAF) for Agentic AI
Oct 23 • 4:00 PM-5:35 PM, LL21 DEF
The speakers for this deep dive are Sarah Evans, Jautau “Jay” White, Frederick Kautz, and Laura Guazzelli. Join this hands-on workshop to master the Secure Agentic Framework (SAF). We’ll explore two implementations: one for the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and one for Kubernetes runtimes. Participants will analyze a vulnerable environment to identify and fix threats such as tool poisoning or command injection. For the OpenSSF community, this work represents a critical step toward securing AI integration. We move beyond general frameworks to offer the specific, protocol level security that modern agentic AI requires.
Stop by the OpenSSF Booth
In between sessions, be sure to drop by the OpenSSF booth. Come say hi to our team and community members, grab some of our signature swag (including our famous Honk and CRAfish keychains!), and let’s chat about how we can collaborate to secure the open source ecosystem.
Don’t Miss PyTorchCon (Co-Located)
AGNTCon + MCPCon is co-located with PyTorchCon. If you are interested in the broader AI/ML landscape, this is a fantastic opportunity to dive deeper. Securing AI and machine learning tools is a major focus for our community, and this co-location makes it easier than ever to bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI development and robust security practices.
